Bylaws, Election, and Nominating Committee
Reviews and updates organizational bylaws, oversees fair and transparent elections, and identifies and prepares a slate of qualified candidates for leadership roles.
Education, Program, Outreach/Community Services, and Special Initiatives Committee
Develops and coordinates educational programs, community service activities, and special initiatives that advance professional development and community impact.
Communication: Public Relations (PR), Website, Social Media Committee
Manages internal and external communications, public relations, website content, and social media to promote HVNYBNA’s mission and activities.
Health Policy and Advocacy Committee
Leads policy education and advocacy efforts to advance equitable health outcomes and amplify the voices of nurses and communities across the Hudson Valley.
Membership Committee
Recruits, recognizes, and retains members while supporting engagement and fostering a strong, connected community.
Scholarship, Awards, Planning Committee
Administers scholarships, facilitates award processes, and coordinates recognition and celebratory events for members.
Finance Committee
Oversees budgeting, financial planning, and fiscal stewardship to ensure responsible management of organizational resources.
Regions/Counties: Upper, Middle, and Lower Hudson Valley Regional Committees
Serve as liaisons within their respective counties, coordinating local events and collaborating with legislators and community organizations to advance the chapter’s mission

Community Service & Outreach
Leads community engagement efforts by organizing health initiatives, partnerships, and service activities that support and educate the public.
Mini Nurse Academy
Develops and coordinates youth-focused programs that introduce children to the nursing profession through hands-on learning, mentorship, and health education.
Men In Nursing
Supports the recruitment, retention, and professional development of men in the nursing profession while promoting diversity and inclusion within the chapter and broader community.
Mentorship
Mentorship Program – Connects nurses of all experience levels to share skills and gifts, fostering professional growth, leadership, and networking; active members may join by submitting a request through the member portal.
